If you didn’t know, I live in lower Alabama, so it’s ~pretty much~ summer all year round. In the winter, the weather swings between super cold at 30 degrees to very hot at 85 degrees. Yesterday was one of those in between days, where it was in the 50’s. So today, I’m showing y’all how I dress in Alabama’s winter!
Disclosure: Today’s post is sponsored by Jord watches. The company compensated me with a watch to model and review. All opinions are my own, and are not influenced by the company.
Since the last two weeks haven’t been cold, but rather chilly, I donned a sweater or hoodie most days. I describe my style as feminine as well as classy and preppy, so most of time, you’ll see me in a sweater.
As for my accessories, I love my pearls and diamonds. On this day, I wore my pearl bracelets with my new Jord watch, and they went together perfectly. I ordered the Maple watch from the Fieldcrest series for this very reason. I was attracted to the color of it.
About My Watch/The Company
On the website, it states my Maple watch has “scratch-resistant mineral glass.” It also states, “The natural maple is hand finished and pretreated with tung oils. The Fieldcrest is splash-proof but should not be submerged in water (3 ATM).”
It also states that all the watches “are considered to be splash proof.” All watches are “hand crafted from 100% natural wood” and come with a one-year warranty. [Source: FAQ pages]
When ordering, there’s a printable ruler you have to print out to measure your wrist, so the watch fits perfectly for you.
First, I measured my wrist wrong, but thankfully the guy (John) who helped me with my order, said the size I sent him was very large even for a man (20 1/4 cm). Yikes! I thought he was calling my wrist big (LOL)! I was asked to remeasure, then email him again. Turns out I didn’t print the ruler right, so I used a real tape measure and got the perfect/correct size (18 cm). I’m very happy the company has people that care.
So when you order, be sure to print the ruler correctly, or just use a tape measure if you’re not sure.
The watch arrived well-packaged in a big box marked “fragile.” The watch comes in a wooden box on a little pillow, and comes with two cleaning cloths. The silk cloth is for polishing the face and wood of the watch. The microfiber cloth is for cleaning the wood with lemon oil.
The delivery was speedy. It was shipped the day after I ordered (because I ordered late in the day), and arrived to my house in four days. When your order is ready and packaged, Jord emails you a shipping number.
Overall, I had a great experience with the Jord watch company. I judge a company by their customer service, and this company treated me very well. I noticed that when you go to the website, there’s even a chat box that comes up.
I’m very happy that the watch I ordered goes with my style. It’s also very easy to take off and put on because of the way the band is made.
